Hey All,
My Vallisnaria used to grow like weeds and I would have to weed the tank every so often but now it barely grows at all and mostly dies off.
I don't have very much extra going on in this basic, planted 55 gal. setup, Two Eheims working in circuit and a uv. Full spectrum fluorescent, river sand, etc. 50% water changes with Safe every 3 days or so.
I used to use Amquel and Novaqua but switched a few years ago and that's roughly when the problems started. Below is a picture of very thick Valiisnaria growth in the same tank, now almost nothing. My Discus and other fish are all doing fine otherwise.
