I have a 90 gallon display tank with 1/2 inch of gravel in it. It’s filtered by 1 FX5 and 2 AC 110s. My stock is Six 5 inch Discus, Six 4 inch Discus, Six Rams,
And 3 bristlenose Plecos. I change my tank water 2 times a week(50% each time). Last week I checked my Nitrates, they were at 10 ppm just before a water change. Am I overstocked? Will I have issues when all Discus are over 5 inches?

I would say you are definitely pushing it with your water changes volumes, frequency and stocking load. You have great filtration but thats not a substitute for water changes , especially as your bioload goes up.The gravel is going to make that worse I am afraid.. I would suggest that if you see your fish acting off you up the water changes significantly.

What are you feeding and how much/how often?

Thanks Brew. I feed once a day. Either FDBlack worms, frozen blood worms, mixture of tetra bits and freeze dried Krill. I alternate each day.

Thats going to help alot.. Most of these foods are what I would call pretty clean and the once a day feeding will help also. I would still be careful. Sometimes a decline in health is slow and you don't notice it until its well advanced.

Thanks. I think I’ll try to rehome at least 2 of the Discus anyway.
