So I have started working on my 75 gallon tank a bit so that I can get a nice community tank set up with discus.
I had raised some discus up to six inches, but ended up selling them due to cash flow issues.
What I have done so far:
changed power strip from a six outlet to a 12 outlet
cleaned the tank lids
pruned the Anubias plant (it was pushing my driftwood out of place)
added a 2nd 300 watt heater (now the water stays at a constant temperature)
changed the Marineland HOB filter over to an Aquaclear 110 filter
replaced the strainer on my canister filter.
This tank contains some bristle nose plecos (lemon drop color), and a large Raphael Striped catfish.
I am rehoming the catfish so that I can add some ditherfish (cardinal tetras, rummy nose tetras, maybe some cory cats).
I am going to keep the fish specie from South America even though my plant is from Asia.
I plan to then after some saving of funds to purchase some wild type or tank spawned wild discus.
It has been awhile since I posted here, but I still have some fish.
I also am trying to rehome common colored bristlenose plecos as I want that 20 gallon tank for a growout tank.
