I have a male Bullie discus. I needed to give one of my pairing males a rest .. long story short a male hooked up and now there are egg's on the cone. They have always fight! The Bullie male will not stop! The experienced female is trying to fan the eggs with no luck! Male just attachs her! Is this normal?

Would I be better to take the male out?

I would take the male out. She wouldn’t be able to survive if it’s non stop all day. She will get easily fatigued.

It seem now that the male is doing a good job too he is also faning the eggs. Looks like he wants to do it and it pushing the more experienced one away. The question is if I take the male out do you think the female will continue the roll. Dam stressful this breeding. Just want to get though this once and I'm good! Lol

Well the father ended up eating the eggs. So I put the father back in my community tank.

Males generally are the better parent but since your guy is being a jerk, I would remove him.

Sorry about that. If you let them try again, remove him as soon as he has fertilized the eggs. When fish are bad like that it makes me want to give them a taste of their own medicine. No way we can do that, though.
