1 Inch Drain Plumbing Question

Hi guys,

Is it safe to install a 1 inch bulkhead, 1 inch strain, 1 inch PVC pipe, and a 1 inch Home Depot valve attached to 1 inch flexible tubing in the bottom of a 155 gallon tank for quick water changes?

I am concerned with water pressure and need some advice please. I do not want to create a "weak point" in the tank just to add simplicity to my water changes.

Pretty sure Ryan925 had something like this on his tank. A bulkhead at the desired W/C height to change the water. His was at the level he wanted to change water rather than the bottom so that he couldn't inadvertently drain the entire tank.
