size difference mixing adults with juveniles?

So i have 6 adult discus there all 6 inches or more i was wondering how much of a size difference would adult discus tolerate Im considering buying some 4 inch fish but not sure if it would be a good idea to mix them it would be coming from the same source have any of you mixed these two sizes together with success thanks alot

I have fish that range from 4-6.5” with no problems, however they are in a 245 gal display with enough driftwood to help minimize any chasing. Mostly just pushing a shoving from pairing. Currently have 16 fish which I think will be my limit.

ok thanks i have a 125 gallon with lots of driftwood also for hiding and what not

i have a 60 gallon with 6 discus in it ranging from 3-5.5" with a nice amount of driftwood and rocks and they fight a little but nothing ever besides a peck and a peck there.
