I thought things may be getting back to normal but I was wrong. I was wondering why discus are so skittish in recent days...

So, would that mean an ammonia spike that is driving the nitrates? The pH is high, what's your usual?

Ph is usually around 7.6, ammonia 0 and nitrates around 1-3. This was straight from tap with the floods and after a heavy rain

I doubled down on Prime and they seem a little less skittish for the moment, but still less than happy ...

curios about KC. The city lay in two states. Does each side have a separate water treatment system?

Yes, Part of the city is supplied by the Kansas river and part by the Missouri river. The Missouri river is worse off because it flows through all the major flooding through Iowa, Nebraska and Missouri... Both rivers also merge downtown...
