Hi all,
Probably a long shot but I am always amazed by our knowledge base here. I need an electrician or at least a fresh pair of eyes. I have a project I am working on and I can not find a part I need. What I am looking for is 24 volt dc 24 hour timer.. IP 67 or 68 rated would be great but if not thats ok I can make a water proof box. The timer has to be 15 amp rated or greater.
Ive looked at ebay and amazon and done searches,, theres some cheapo flimsy ones I have tried that are imported from china but these are really garbage and not what what I need. I also don't want one that 100's of dollars. It doesn't even need to be digital, can be mechanical.
The idea is to have tank or possibly a pond down the road set up that runs off 24V solar panel and batteries. I have all the components I need but I just cant find a decent 24 volt timer to control the power cycle in the tank during 24 hour period. I want to be able to turn it all off for several hours a night by timer.
I technically could use a 12v timer and system as I have the parts for that too but 24 v is better for this project.
So I figured I would ask our residents electricians if they know of any economical 24 v dc timers (24 hours) I have seen some that were delay timers but thats not what I need.
Thanks!
