Hi Everyone,

A slow Sunday here so thought I would post up some photos (who doesn't like photo's right?) of my tank. I also wanted to ask a fish ID on the brown/red discus with the black mood bars "Bruce", he is my favourite even though he is not the brightest or prettiest for some.

Current tank setup is 6x2x2 running 2 FX6 filters, with both outlets at one end, and both inlets at the other. I find this works well to push the water one way, and surface of the water is always clear etc. I also run 3x air stones, and an internal filter for polishing, that usually has Purigen in it that gets swapped out at least once a week. Current maintenance schedule is 50% daily WC ( sometimes more if I'm bored) which involves a siphon to suck all the crap off the BB tank. I just have white vinyl under the glass. I also run filter socks on the inlets to the FX6's which get changed daily, as they get dirty really quickly!. Most of the fish are 5" plus, with a couple in around 4" and big Bruce at about 7" currently.

Hope you enjoy and thanks for reading!

Looks bloody mint mate! Love the tall Val flowing in front of the return outlets. Beautifully done!

Thanks Dan! Any ideas on the strain of fish in question?

Looks like a discus to me mate, lol. I really don't have a lot of experience with ID'ing but I'd take a stab at a wild brown type, perhaps a red rose??

Looks like brown based red. Similar to the male VRs I used to have. Still had a hard time really seeing the fish in that picture that. Could you take another quick picture?
