Dear forum members,

Does anyone or is there someone who has some kind of peat calculator.
I mean a calculator in which a number of variables are entered to calculate your ph and kh in an easy way.
An example water has for example a ph of 8 and a KH of 4.
Now you want a PH of 5 with a KH of 1 how much peat do I need?

The peat calculator should therefore be able to process a number of variables. After all, everyone uses a different kind of water.

Never seen or heard of one! Most people just add a few handful's of peat and do regular checks to know whether to add more or less peat.

This is my process for adding peat to the filter. I use the standard test for PH and KH seperate to monitor.

The size of your tank, the type of substrate and other factors also impact the resulting KH and pH. So there's no simple formula.
