Discus wrasse

Has any noticed, other than a fry, a larger discus pecking at the side, much like fry do to parents, of another larger adult before? I have a small 4.5 inch Heckel who occasionally will pick at the slime coat of a much larger discus and the larger one allows it. I am wondering if this little Heckel fellow is a part cleaner wrasse? He seems to think that he is still a fry.

I've never seen it, but I heard about it happening right here a million years ago. I bet Willie has a theory.

Yes, one of the gay. I have two that are the gay I suspect. I removed one of the boys and put him with a female in the breeding tank. So far no spawing activity. That left one of the gay who then went back to a female that he has shown an interest in for the past 7 months. I don't know what the little pecker is. I think a male?
