Does anyone have any experience with rubber lip plecostomus in a discus tank? I have one in a community tank and it is much smaller than a bushy nose plecostomus.

Do you have a L-number? There are many species with that common name.
I keep a number of L-number plecos with my discus, but these are in lightly stocked barebottom tanks. My plecos get a ton of food everyday and an extra feeding right before I turn the lights off. If they're living in a planted tank and have to compete for food, you might run into a problem with them sucking on the discus slime.

I have one in my hospital/quarantine tank that will suck on the sides of discus when I have some in there. Hope that helps

Thanks for the quick replies. I don't know the L number. I have had him for a couple of years. I will stay with the bushy nose plecostomus in my discus tanks. I haven't had any trouble with them so far.

Hm, yeah I agree, L number is important in identifying such. But mine, hasn't had any problems so far.
