I have cross breed my discus fish pair that I got after months of keeping all my discus fish together. The off springs of this pair has very strange patterns. Some of the hatches have grown to adult size and I want to sell them as I have not enough space. Can any discus fish keeper or expert give the names of these strange but beautiful discus fish. I will upload one by one or all at once

Your attachments did not work mate. Need to try reposting them so we can see the fish you're talking about...

They are crosses. I see PB in some, Turk in others, and the two together are Curipera. What I would do for your website is post them as crosses from the pair, show a pic of the pair and then some of the offspring. You did an excellent job with raising these. They are nice fish.

I agree with Liz, nicely done.

If you know who Forrest is, he supplies discus to two of the forum sponsors, he told me that sometimes breeders label fish for sale based on what they look like and not what they are. This sounds right to me.I would call them either Blue Alenquer or Red Alenquer cross. That is how they appear to me.

Can you show us the parents?

Yeah, I'd like to see them too. They sure produced quite a variety of types. Call the 2nd one a Gold Melon and the third a Turk Pigeon. Cliff, Willie, what do you two think?

Ok I will name the first one Curipera. Please help with second and others.

How about pigeon blood, peppered pigeon blood, non pigeon blood and blue based non pigeon blood.
Otherwise I like Pete, Susie, Sandra and Sam, and Blake.
All kidding aside, they are crosses. People put all these names on fish, as is their right, but all you can do is show the parents and what the offspring look like Any name you give is just that, a name.
Respectfully, Matt

I donno. It's such an unconventional cross and at least in the pic he showed us the parents don't look that great. The offspring on the other hand, are nice quality fish.

These are fish that you are going to sell to lfs or hobbyist. What you that they are will be what they are. Whomever buys them there is going to be a chance they will forget what they are. When that happens, who cares?

That's the one I'd call a gold melon.

Hi these are the parents

Look a lot like a red cover type and a peppered PB. Some nice looking offspring anyway for such a pairing.
