Parents relocating wrigglers

Does anyone know why a pair would move wrigglers from the initial egg laying site?
My latest batch have been shifted twice now by the female

The parents are cleaning for a different location and culling except
for the sliders.

It's a sign of good parenting instincts when they move the kids. In their small fish mind they think that they are protecting them from predators. I've always thought that was a cool thing.

Thanks, that makes sense. Unfortunately they moved them into a bunch of "hair algae" and a few of them are stuck. I tried to dislodge them last night but the male was really aggressive. I'll just let nature take it's course. This is by far the best batch they've had in terms of the number that have remained uneaten
