Hi All, I am Cam, been lurking for years and never posted anything. Just want to introduce myself.
I have a couple of new proven pairs currently rhe fries are at the free swimming stage.

It was none of those. Our system is set up to block new registrations with registered IP's associated with spamming and hacking. Sometimes good IP's share the same address as bad... Cam's was one of those...

I was banned once. It was only a 2 month ban, thank goodness. I actually think I was banned for a post that was not ban worthy, but I'll admit that I was a trouble maker. Back then, I was very much the Mama Bear. I have chilled out a lot since then. And guess what? The person who objected to my post is no longer here and I have become a mod. That's one hell of a journey.

Thanks for putting me back in again Pat. I don’t know why but I got banned maybe 5-6 times. Each time, Pat husband or Pat would put me in and next day I would be banned again.

This is what’s going on currently in my humble little Fishroom.
This pair’s 2nd spawn. Once in the community tank and now in the breeding tank on their own. I got these from Indonesia when they are just juvies.

You lucky dog. My pairs have both gone on strike. The sight, even in a picture, of fry on their parent's back is the most beautiful thing.

Thank you mama bear. They were in strike for a while when I moved them from the community tank. But they just started again few days back. Being very young parents. they are still learning and I am learning with them. Lol

What strain are they? The single one in the first pic looks like a Heckle RSG cross.

Your guess is mostly better than mine. I couldn’t figure out if the female is a heckle cross. But they are from the same batch.
I have included another pic when the first spawned in the community tank.
Second is when they were much younger. With the female in front.
Thanks Francis. Just noticed the pics can be rotated. I will have to figure out how.

They are both Heckel crosses. I no longer believe that they are Heckel X RSG. Pretty fish though.

Hi Cam, are these two a wild cross maybe. One is a heckel cross. You can see color outlining the bars but I think the other is showing bars due to spawning/new parent.

Hi Pat, I am not too sure to be honest. I received a shipment as assorted. 2 looks like heckel cross and 2 looks wild cross? 2 melons. Etc…
