Guess I will start a new thread.. Birds of the Northeast USA, Spring 2023:)

We get White breasted Nuthatches (Sitta carolinensis) all the time in my area.. I shoot these all the time. Love these little guys..

We have their cousin the Red breasted nuthatch (Sitta canadensis) in parts of Ct, but I can never find it so I went an hour north to where I could reliably find them.

Nuthatch and Creepers are harder to photograph than hummingbirds

Thats funny you say that Dave.. I went to this local to photo the red breasted nuthatch and brown creeper. I got one of the two...will have to go back after the creeper.

Thanks Pat. Yeah that practicing is essential for birds.. frustrating at times but once we nail the skill for a particular subject its like riding a bike. For me here, the small birds are often all I have to shoot. .. believe me.. my delete buttons paint is well worn.lol
