This make no sense. It beeps at irregular intervals. It has not shown a code. I wasn't in the mood to walk from the breaker box to the oven last night so since I know I am a great sleeper I slept through it.

This morning I found the breaker and flipped it off. The beeping continues. How could this be? It's a whirlpool gas stove. The breaker also controls the microwave which is right above the stove, so it can't be that. All the other things that beep are unplugged except the dishwasher, but the beep is not coming from there. It has to be either the stove or microwave but no power is getting to either of them. Do you think I have a ghost?

Sounds like a smoke/gas sensor? The beeps are hard to track down. Do you have any in your home?

I had smoke detectors once but threw them out when they kept going off at 3 am. But would my oven still be beeping with it's breaker off? It would a lot more fun to have a ghost.

Sure you don't have a smoke detector that slipped in somewhere and is now out of battery? I had one that I replaced late last summer, one of the ten year battery ones. It has a built in thing to short the battery beforehand disposal. Well that thing didn't work and it beeped... A lot... Before I finally took the hammer to it.

I Heard a beeping noise one day here and searched everywhere. I could not find it. Went out to get the mail and heard it louder... coming from my neighbors house. No one was there though.. so it beeped and beeped all day. I Called the guy and left a voicemail incase there was a fire. He came home and looked everywhere..could not find it and kept saying maybe it was my house lol..

Latter that day he found the source. That weekend he had been working in the garage and the smoke detector fell off the ceiling.. he didnt notice until he ran it over with truck backing out. He threw it in the trash barrel outside and forgot about it. That darn detector beeped at least a full day.

That's a funny story, Al. I finally found where my beep came from. I'd just been stupid. It was from the microwave over the oven. I'd forgotten that it was on a different breaker from the other appliances in my kitchen. I should have realized it had a breaker of it's own. A micro pulls a lot of juice.
