I was asked for this recipe. I was actually trying to come up with a home made version of Italian salad dressing when I started this as I use that as a marinade alot. I can't stand needless preservatives and crummy ingredients or over prices gourmet junk so I came up with a recipe for my own dressing.

First I make a dry mix. This mix is also a great Rub for alot of meats.

Dry Mix/Rub:

4 Tbs Mrs. Dash Italian Blend
4 Tbs Mrs Dash original
3 Tbs Salt (common table salt)
1 Tbs Ground black Pepper (fine)
1 Tbs Dried Minced Garlic
13 Tbs Italian seasoning, heaping Tbs
3 Tbs garlic powder
2 Tbs Cajun Seasoning (Spice Supreme (salt,paprika,black pepper,cayenne pepper,garlic, onion,oregano,thyme)
2 Tbs Crushed red pepper

Obviously adjust and Substitute per your tastes.

I mix these dry ingredients well and store in an airtight jar.

For the marinade:

1/2 Cup Olive oil ( prefer Filippo Berio "For sauteing and grilling"
1/4 cup Red wine Vinegar
2 Tbs Dry Mix

Stir well. I usually make this about 30 mins before needing it but it can be refrigerated up to a week and used.

This is my go to marinade here.
