Thanks, but I don't think my name looks any brighter than usual! :D

All joking aside, welcome in Jacob! :)

Right on the tip, Willie. About 35 miles north of where they hold the Quad Cities Swap.

Good to know. It's a 6.5 hour drive for me to the Quad City swap.

I make it down for a few of them, usually. Last time was just to drop off some male apistos I was giving away. Did a walk through and ended up coming home with six Scleromystax barbatus. We walked past them like six times and finally just bought them haha. Pretty neat fish, it's a good swap, but man is it busy!

You're lucky. Usually 3 - 4 of us in the Twin Cities meet up at 7 am, drive 6+ hours down to Davenport, run in for 45 minutes, spend all our money, get back in the car and drive. Did this last summer and finally got home at 10:30! The selection of fish at Quad City is much better than any local swaps, even Chicago shows.

I didn't realize how big it was. When we first went I thought it would be like 20 people and it was wall-to-wall packed. I've since learned that it's also one of the better swaps. It's interesting hearing people from Washington state talk about the Quad Cities Swap like it's some sort of mecca. :D

It would be Meca for sure down here. There isn't enough interest in tropical fish for us even to have a club, let alone a swap.
