I know you can't see the eggs too clearly as they blend with the drift wood, but trust me they are there.

Hello Everyone,
unfortunatly this Discus does not have a mate to fertilize the eggs, but I am working on finding her one.
This wild is about 2 yrs old , and I have lost count how many times she has spawned.

John

Here is a pic of my Pigeon Blood laying eggs today on the intake tube of one of the filters, but the wild that spawned a day ago promptly destroyed the site.

Excuse the quality of the photo.

John.

I took a picture of my wild today cleaning her spawn site and doing a whole lot of practice runs.
I tried to get a close up so you could see her protruding tube(???)with which she lays eggs with, for those of you who havent seen it.

Great close up picture of an extended tube! Thank you for posting such a clear shot.

Al or Ryan: Do we have any pictures of discus with extended tubes in the breeding section - maybe this picture should be moved there?

Great Idea Carol!
*John, may I put a copy ot this *photo in the breeding section? I'll leave the original one here.
* *
Also, what part of teh country are you from? A wild female that spawns is hard to find, In many cases * the wild mles spawn more readily with Domestic females. Maybe theres someone *near *you that you can work a deal with and *split *the offspring?

Do you have *separate tank *you can put her *in?

Hello Al and Carol,
Al you can move the picture where ever is best, I just put all pictures I take in the photo gallery even though I should go according to subject matter.
I live in North West Florida(Pensacola).
I set  up a breeding tank for the wild and my male PB last week, but ended up putting my female PB instead.
My plan is to let them breed first, and then swap females,I am sure any male wouldnt argue with that.
As you can see from the photo I posted the PB male was cleaning a site with her, that was before I moved him today.
As soon as my wild succesfully breeds I will be sure to post some pics.

Howdy,
here is a pic of my male PB ,if you look carefully you can see his extended tube, its not as pronounced as the females ,but is still visible.
