For I do not wish to offend anyone by putting up an extortbitant price, or below anyone else's. Pls offer your price and if I'm happy, I will ship to you.
All my fishes are fed with Baby Brineshrimp up to 1 month old and Ox heart only after 1 month mix with only Spirulina powder and NatuRose Astaxathin Powder for any red strain. All from brineshrimpdirect.
Juvenile which are badly stunted or fish I will not buy standard, will be discarded.
Water changes are made twice 100% daily for 1 1/2 months down and 100% daily 1 1/2 months up. Fed at least 5 times. Sunday off. No feeding, some water change.
Thanks for your time.

I don't know what airline John is flying. From Singapore to San Francisco or LAX is about 22 hours fly time (direct or not) pending tailwind. I have flown that route over a dozen times round trip. Too bad Concorde don't fly that Asian route.

Hope you will figure out the details as in my previous e-mails asking for the exact same info in your above post.

I will be visiting Malaysian(Penang) & Singaporean breeders in December 2002. Hopefully, buy some awesome discus from them and carry home.

If John allows me to visit his setup, I will have a special commentary section in this forum when I return. Otherwise, ?????? you be the judge. All this is also pending your transactions with other fellow hobbyist in this forum.

John,

Nice fish. Nice pics. The fact you showed detailed pics of all your fish and of your facility was great. Definitely helps with credibility and lets the buyer know what to expect. Thanks and good luck with your sales.

You should start a website, that way ppl don't have to guess what the prices are, set up a standard pricing system. That way everyone has a better idea rather than someone trying to figure out what to offer...

i keep coming back to your page to look at the discus..they r simply too good..

where did u first get the snowwhites?

how much does it cost if i were to buy a few from you?

is it expensive to ship from singapore to US? what if i had someone coming from singapore? can they bring it with them?

Thanks again everyone. I am currently working on the price list with the help of a friend who is an exporter in Japanese Gold fish and should be ready next week. It will be better to sent me a email and when its done, I will just cc to everyone.
Hopefully, I will have my own website soon.
At least all my hard work was appreciated. Praise the Lord!
Happy Discus keeping!!!

John, awesome discus.

Can you describe more about the details of your setup? I see a siphon for each tank. How do you empty and fill the tanks? What keeps the siphon tubes from going dry and how do you start the siphons each time you use them?

First the tank bottom are drill with a 28mm hole and a female 3/4 inch pipe adapter is fitted top and bottom of tank an on/off vavle. Then I use a 3/4 inch fexible tube with PVC pipe fitted on both ends cut to suitable length. In order to siphon, the pipe has to be fill with water and fit it in to the female adapter. Try not to get any air in it or it will not work or slow. The same female adapter is also fitted below the vavle and I use the same fexible tube one end with a short PVC pipe attached and just fit right in. The other end will be long enough to the drain. Get the right stuff and no glueing require. I will siphon the water almost finish and turn on the water. But I keep going for another 5 mins to make sure its 100% water change and fill it up! So, let gravity does it's work.

I will keep this in mind on my next rack of tanks. Seems like an easy set up and looks good too. ;)

I think John's just teasing us. He posts pics of these beautiful fish in September, then goes snowboarding in January and we won't hear from him again until late Spring ;D. Anyone ever get any price/availability lists? Shipping info?
