here you go..........willie. had to put your name willie Lo.....or you might think their for the other now famous willie.........the fish.!!
oh.......and for rod lewis.......not rod coleman. LOL. but you can all look . :))))))))
manacapura pair and eggs.
as of today.....the eggs are still there. tonight should be 48 hours. some are now fungused.....but their guarding and some are still clean. these guys are only ten months...so just learning. so dont hold your breath.

LOL gary. yeah you all ought to run out and buy one. heh,,,,,,hAD TO improvize. i was at work.
and it was funny.......she went around and around it looking down at it tipping her eye.....checking it out. they have now decided its the perfect cone for them!! LOL.

April - I love that red color!! Are they always that red or just when they are spawning? Once they 'get it right' I hope you get some great youngins! As I know there are a few of us looking to take some off your hands !! ;)

The funny part of the chicken spawning cone is that my wife collects "chicken things" to decorate the kitchen. I wonder if she would notice if one of them suddenly "disappeared" ;D

I've been bugging April to take a pic of that chook cone ever since she told me her fish bred on a chook.....i reacon the most original looking spawning cone i've ever seen. Thanks for the laugh April, your a riot.

Thanks guys....i love the fishies also. But no credit to me...their Rods fishies. Don't think hes actually surrendered them to me yet..he still thinks of them as his babies....right Rod? Hopefully one of these spawns..i do manage to get wigglers and then raise them to cute little baby manas.
there'd be a few happy people about. Willie,,,me..Rod..
guess i better go to the shop and check on them. im sure they ate them by now..being young. and not even sure the males fertile yet. ::)

Fantastic pair of discus! They are absolutely gorgeous, I love them!

What do you know about them? Generation, parents, etc?

Hi Jeff ,

Those fish that April have are bred from an Alenquer female (3rd inbred generation from red eddy discus i acquired from germany in the early 90's) which i crossed with a f1 male Manacaparu discus.

ok heres the update!! the chook pair laid again..and lord and behold i was there this time as they were finishing...and guess what!!!!!!!! two females. !!!!!
they are guarding...
but..the other pair laid and now have a small amount of wigglers!!!!!!!
and caring for them!!
so...in a few spawns i hope to get a bigger hatch rate..and hope to get lots of cute little manas!
now...i need to find some nice husbands for my two other lady manas to marry. LOL. so im setting up a dating service for them and hope they choose the one of the bachelors.
