Rock Salt

I've heard of people using rock salt and I was just wondering what it's used for and how much to use.

ITS USED LIKE REGULAR SALT JUST MAKE SURE IT HAS NO POTASSIUM IN IT.

ALSO ROCK SALT IS VERY DIRTY AND WILL LEAVE SCUM
PARTICLES ON THE BOTTOM OF YOUR TANK. I HAVE USED IT BEFORE AND THE DISCUS SEEM FINE I JUST HATE ALL THE
CRAP THATS LEFT BEHIND.

Get the kind for water softener. They are extremely clean like snow white. I get mine in home depot. about $3.00/10 kg. Last you for a long time.
