I want to get rid of my canister filters.
I have the following:

200L - millenium 3000 hang-on.(equiv. to aquaclear 500)
130L - aquaclear 300

in process of setting up a small 100L - aquaclear 200.

i have a spare ac500

note: in the 200L and 130L I have canister filters running also, but as i mentioned,i want to eliminate those.

Without the canisters,i feel it wont be enough filtration.
my question is......
what other filtration would you add to these tanks??? more hang-ons?? sponge filters, etc.

thanks.

The aqua clear 500 is more than enough to handle the 200L (40 gallon) tank just fine.

130L = 32 gallons, so the AC 300 alone is also fine.

100L = 25 gallons, I'd add an air driven sponge filter.

I run two sponges inside all the aqua clears. If you want to add extra filtration, just add sponge filters.

Hi Pascale,

i like to add an airdriven sponge as an extra to the ac's.
