ok ....here are the first wigglers from my young pair. their only 10 months......and second spawn. so dont get excited.....as these ones were delicious.!!!! there were only 12 fertile. LOL.

lousy pics...but as good as they get right now. really bad reflections at the shop. too many windows and flourescents shining on the glass. and...a really incompetant phtographer. lol.

ok....I was a grandma....and Rod WAs a grandpa. lol.
and i think his wife does know he has wigglers in canada! LOL Pascale.
They have laid again and way more eggs this time and so far so good. i can see dark in them. so hope this time they want to raise them up.and not taste them. LOL.

Good job. April. Make sure you mark down the parameters for that male. Drop down a touch of PH next time and you'll have a good hatch and the sperm will be most active. Use the same Ph everytime you use him. Good job once again. People usually think PH is not important. It's the most important for the sperm.JMHO.

ok....but Jimmy....my ph is very low. about 6.3
. and i dont measure ph...lol. and..my water is 30 ms out of the tap. my fish always spawn like crazy this time of year when the rain starts.
hes only 10 months. and second spawn so just getting fertile i think. we'll see how it goes this time. i need a ph monitor....to do that. ...

Thanks Brew...i actually have three pairs going ..but all young and learning. so hopefully they'll get it right one day.
::)the other two females i added an alencer to one..and a wild green to the other. only boys in town. so far so good. they hopefully decided the men were up to their standards. LOL.

LOL Willie. yes...you better start. who better to brood eggs...than a brooding chicken!! and actually...when you siphon....you can stick the siphon right inside and get any stuff out of it....no standing dead water. right?
i put a cage around the chicken..and unfortuneately just before hatching time..they fungused. i saw eyes..in 50.then 30..and they got very dark. this morning..i had one. wiggler. :-\
other two spawns i added quick cure. so we'll see.
they were however caring for the one wiggler after i moved the screen and they were nice and dark. so ,maybe next time.
got any hints?
