Nice Discus Willie. One question tho! Do your heaters just sit on the bottom of your tank without any support. I would think the heat would crack your glass!

I am witness that Cary's fish are OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!! Not only have I personally seen Willie's breath taking oriental dreams, but have also seen Julz's new babies!!!! Just perfect!!!!!! I hope Cary will open the door for a little Weezy buy..... cuz I really want some!!!!!! (spotted or lines Cary...... when you are feeling better.... hey???)

On my old Ebos, the suction cups really s*cked. (Now the whole heater s*cks. ;D ;D ;D) So I took most of them off. Never had a problem with cracking any glass. Out of my 14 tanks, probably 8 of them have heaters sitting on the glass bottom. In my one planted tank, the heater sits directly on the sand. Never had any issues with silica fusing to the glass tube either.

I'd guess around 7 - 8 months now. So I'd be looking at June - July before anyone pairs off. This hobby requires a lot of patience. :P

I got 7 of them in a 55. These fish are still young and still travel in schools. A 75-gal would be too big for now.

my ebos also just flail on the bottom. and i hear so do carys.
no time for fighting with suctcion cups. and..the great thing is..i fyou watnt to adjust the temp...you just pull the cord..change it and let it go back to its resting spot.

Speaking of ebos worthless suction cups . . . . you know when you open the box they come with a white, square plastic brace on the bottom to protect the heater? I leave that on it. It keeps the tip of the heater from banging on the tank during water changes and doesn't slime up like the suction cups . . . .

yes....i agree....great thinking....funny....a few times i kinda thought....one could leave those on....but then of course took it off like i was meant to. lol.
but it would save them banging around.
