I am using Tronic 250w heater, and it seem to change temperature of the water once 2 weeks or so. Dont know when. It either drops or brings it up. Did anyone had the same problem before with Tronics?? And if yes, then what's the best heater out there to get. Most accurate and best. Thank YOU.

Well here we go again!! I have tried every heater out there except the titanium ones. IMO the tronics were the worst. All my tanks are running ebo's and I 've only had a problem with one of them. Lots of other people have had trouble with the Ebo's but so far they have been good for me.

:bounce: :bounce: You better run David!!!!!!!! J/K Really, I now have several titaniums with external control & internal probe & think they're the best & safest. My visitherms are ok so far, have one Ebo that works on r/o water but can't get temp up where needed. Go Titanium!!!! JMO Dottie ;D ;D

my heaters are all visitherms apart from the one in the storage tank which is a ecotherm, same really just no dial. Have to adjust the temp blind, if you see what I mean.

I agree with Dottie. I'm really likeing the two titanium heaters I have. If they stand the test of time, for me thats at least five years, I will switch to them exclusively. Rich

I have noticed that my tronic heaters do not keep my heat stable, temps tend to vary quite a bit. I switched to Rena's for now, no problems yet, and they seem to keep temps much more stable.

Flexy,
I changed all my heaters over to ViaAqua Titanium 300 watts. I like them alot over the ebo's. All the ones I have read 2 degrees off on the dial. But other than that they work like a charm. And they keep the water constant.

As far as I can see, Tatanium is the way to go.
