A strain of Mycobacterium called M. Avium-Intracellularie...if my spelling and memory are correct. This is a cousin to Mycobacterium tuberculosis otherwise know as TB. Various pseudomoniasis infections could possible take
advantage of a stressed, imunocompromised person. I personally have a bad case of hole-in-the-head disease..but I think I was born with it. No treatment has helped. But hey, I just do the best I can, keep a good attorney on retainer and live my life.

We talking a healthy kid in the same room with a fairly well maintained aquarium? Probably nothing, as long as the little angel keeps his/her paws out of the water.

The "need to be with more discus" is a serious disease that affects discus keepers. There is only one known cure for it....
Can you guess it ?
Cheers, Francisco.

Hi Lubo,

There are many diseases that are transmitted from animals(fish included) to humans and they fall under the heading of Zoonosis. A searfch for aquarium fish and zoonosis will give you lots of info but heres some..
