I have dicovered that the hot water heater in my place does not support regular household use and 50 gallons of aquarium water changes a day. Any suggestions of bringing 54 degree tap water up to 88 degrees in 24 hours. I could throw a couple of 300 watt aquarium heaters in but with that sort of use their life expectancy would be short. My schedule only permits water changes in the morning or there would be no problem. Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks

Thats what I use, 2x 200W heaters in a 45G barrel! What about trying jehmco titanium heaters with controllers!

Perhaps boil the water in a kettle and mixed it with the cold water?

Not sure what chemisty change in water will take place during boiling. Perhaps someone can comment on this.

I have a 250 watt ebo in each of my three 50 gallon barrels. They run 24/7 - just like in the fish tanks.

My tap water is 50 degrees. Will it reach 88 degrees in 24 hours?

What is your room temperature? If it's 70+ it should. By the way my change water is closer to 83 degrees as I keep my tanks 82/84.

boiling water makes it chemically unstable for some reason.
youd think the hardness would go up because of evapouration. Boiling water temporarily relieves total hardness or something like that. Think I might have thatback to front somewhere, cant remember. Anyway I know boiling water isn't the best thing to do.
