My family were hanging out on a cone.....and lounging...on the beach..
they have now set sail..and are swimming in the big river!!they found two nice big round food sources to nibble on while they follow them about. their food sources think the world of them...and kept trying to convince them to stay put on that nice safe cone...but...they kept coming back to them.
so finally they gave up and decided the kids could stay on them.
so far.they are being vey loving parents..and their nice and dark with lots of yummy food.
no pics....as their not very big kids yet...but i'll work on it.
ok..going to work to watch my new family. ;D
theres about 100 or more

Way to go April!!!! I just wish mine would do that instead of filing paper's and having me adopt all their kids!!! Jeez I already have 5 two legged ones now I have over 100 with no legs! Guess I can raise em better!!!!

hmmmm everyone used to tell me my daughter had big eyes. lol now i realize she was a runt!!! still is! skinny and small. guess im not good at raising fry after all...hope i do better this time round. ::)
No way she's cull. A discus like that needs a 5 bedrooms, triple garage tank. She's so cute. Let me know if you want to trade her for some 4" Red Melon.

Jimmy done deal!!!!!! Now you wanna trade something for my wife also?j/k That was the baby that had(has) the big head! Sorta like her Dad!!! Well we had her at a bone specialist and definetly no surgery for her!!! Thank God!!

ok now that we're talking about babies and runts...heres mine. a bit younger than now.
see...big eyes....small..LOL.
she did grow somewhat...
Oh she is such a cutie. See runts DO have hope. And I know she is a keeper now...... ;)

Congratulations on the new family, April! My PBxRT are just gettin to the free swimming stage, we'll see if the big dolt can figure out what to do next, lol.
Little girls sure grow up fast. My baby is almost 25 now, but HER baby is 4 and grand kids are the best!

ok...so a major glitch today....
waaaaaaaaa
i got to work..and no babies on hte parents. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i had tried my new fandangled auto brine shrimp hatcher..that is meant to release newly hatched brine shrimp 24/7. well....the babies were all over on the hatcher...i guess cause of the bubbles and motion..and the hatchery machine is a dark brown plastic colour. the parents were not happy.
so . i quickly turned off the machine and the hydro sponge..and they slowly went back to both parents. but.the parents were no longer hanging side by side. divided they stood. ???
so through the day i watched. she kept kinda snapping at them as they came to her face. not sure what she wanted with them..but he got mad and attacked her. so i now have a divider between the parents. he has most fry but some still have gotten through..and she has a few. but she is not as dark now. not sure the babies are happy...the whole spawn may be a write off.
no more auto shrimp hatchery for me. im taking it back .

These guys are in your grooming shop? What about all the flying dog hair :o. I'd love to see a pic of the whole tank and how you have it set up in the shop. What about feeding and WC when you're not working?

Liz. yes the grooming salon. and yes..hair gets in them. i have to take hair out of the intakes of the aquaclears.perhaps its just extra filtration? like floss? hope they dont get hairballs . lol.
their right across from my table i have a 100 gallon tank. and in the back and on top of the wooden bank of cages i have breeding tanks. and behind in the back i have two 33 gallon tanks.
I do changes before washing dogs and after the dogs are washed. so i dont use all the hot water up. this next two weeks...i will be extremely busy so it will be long hours. as tanks will have to wait till after hours. but i get to feed all day while there. ;D on my days off...guess what i get to do.
i go to the shopand feed and do tanks and give another feed. then..sometimes in the evening.
but.the water is good there and their breeding so ....thats where they are staying. and really im there more than here.
but cant see the babies at night. so anxious to get there each day to see them.
anyhow..update. their still there and doing well.
