Aloha Everyone, I was told by a friend that the temp in my breeding tanks were to high around 86 degrees. I could use some input on this subject.
Lastnight I lowered the temp to 82 degrees and this morning all the eggs seem to be doing fine, no unfertilized eggs yet or fungus on them.
I will try this method again with another pair and see what happens.
So again what temp do others keep for breeding tanks.

I have to say your friend is right but don't let the temp go any lower than 82, then the water is getting to low temperature wise for all Discus. I keep my breeders at 85 degrees.

80 to 82

Like Dennis i use around 81f, although a pair of blue diamonds i once owned wouldn't breed unless the temp was 84.

Aloha All, I lowered the temp as instructed by friend and had 90% hatch out. I returned from work this morning an there they were about 100+ fry. Iwill keep them with parents for 2-3 weeks, then into their own 20 g tank.
I would like to thank everyone for their response. This site is a great place to learn and and better yet to make friends who also love thier DISCUS.
