http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/i/bell.gif Christmas Cake Recipe http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/i/bell.gif

Ingredients:
1 cup of water
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup of brown sugar
lemon juice
4 large eggs
1 cup nuts
1 bottle Jose Quervo Tequila
2 cups of dried fruit

Sample the Quervo to check quality. http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/_950/drunkard.gif

Take a large bowl, check the Quervo again, to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink. http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/_950/drunkard.gif

Turn on the electric mixer...Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.

Add one teaspoon of sugar...Beat again.

At this point it's best to make sure the Quervo is still OK, try another cup... just in case. http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/_950/drunkard.gif

Turn off the mixerer thingy.

Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit, Pick
the frigging fruit off floor...Mix on the turner.

If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it loose with a drewscriver.

Sample the Quervo to check for tonsisticity. http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/_950/drunkard.gif

Next, sift two cups of salt, or something. Who giveshz a %$@#*&

Check the Jose Quervo http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/_950/drunkard.gif

Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven.

Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don't forget to
beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window,

Finish the Jose Quervo and kick the cat. http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/_950/drunkard.gif

Heck I think that is the very reason the hubby won't let me bake any more. http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/j/xmassad.gif

I remember one Christmas Eve when the kids were very little, I was determined to carry on a longtime tradition so I set out to make "Sticky Buns" which is our family's secret recipe. I went through the last punch down process to allow overnight rising, and mistakenly set the bowl too close to the edge of the counter. http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/h0/crazy.gif

In the morning, I woke only to find that the majority of the dough had risen so much it had fallen off the counter and straight into the cat litter box below. http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/u/catsmiley.gif From what I was able to salvage, from the bowl, ended up rising and overflowing even more in the oven. The loud fire alarm, and the thick smoke woke the sleeping family on Christmas morning that year.

I just sat on the kitchen floor and cried. http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/q/crap.gif

I guess that is what happens when one has too much *spiked eggnog on Christmas Eve. http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/_950/drunkard.gif

I sincerely hope everyone on the Simply Forum has a Wonderful Christmas and may The New Year of 2003 bring much happiness to us all.
