View Full Version : Stringy Thingy

One of my discus had a stringy thingy coming out of him today! Actually, three stringy thingies coming out at the same time. It was white and flat. Couldn't tell if it was segmented.

It was also torn and tattered looking.

I am hoping that this was maybe some connective tissue that didn't get ground up in my beef heart mix (I make my own...some has strings in it).

This guy, like all the discus in the tank, eats like a pig. Shows no signs of sickness, and comes right up to the glass to meet me every time.

Should I be worried about tapeworms, HEX, or both? :-[

I will post pictures if need be.

Thanks,

Jeff

Probably not hex if he's eating. Maybe worms or connective tissue. You can use prazzi or flubendazole and see if worms are expelled.
