NYC TAP WATER

Does anybody know if New York City water has chloramines or chlorine.
Can any one give me the specifics on NYC water.

Mark Im down by Battery Park working. I go to Brooklyn to catch a train to Long Island. Its been a while but Ive been spotted in Brooklyn at the Waterfront with a pint and a buffalo burger. Ever been there? Rich
Kevin sorry I cant answer your water question. A few years ago the maintainence people advised us to drink bottled water. Its probally ok now but I havent seen anyone near a water fountain since. Rich

right now NYC tap is about 240-250uS . This is just fine for growing out Discus & borderline fine for breeding. The conductivity has been this high since the beginning of last year's 'drought', when they switched reservoirs to a system that contains a lot more phospors.
It varied between 80uS & 140 uS before that & hopefully will return to that ( Catskills) system in the spring. The reservoirs are higher than average so they should switch back soon I hope.
