Hi all well the fry are 8 days freeswimming now and all seems well. But I have added formalin at 1 drop per gallon of water to tank as a precaution. I've done this twice now in last 10 days. Before that I used Maroxy 2 hrs after spawing and again 4 days latter. Should I use the formalin or meth blue as a weekly treatment for a while???? Anyone got any advice

I'm no expert but when I treated my fry I used 2 drops of 37% hyde per gallon for 8 hours. Did 50% w/c then. Ever since things have been going well for my fry. I don't know if it is just luck or not. They all look good and eat like little pigs!!

Good deal Darcy,
I agree. Jim lose the blue if the fry are still with the parents it will destroy their slime coat causeing no food for fry!

Jim,
I use 3 drops per gal but would only start with 2 untill you play with it for awhile and get to know it. Your water is very close to mine. PH 7.4 kh 7 gh7 IMO the higher the ph and hardness the more you can use without many problems clean tanks also go along way and will effect the dose.
