Hello,
I have about 6 discus at my girls house. They are in a 45 g High.
They seem to be wasting away. I had angels in there with them from the beginning but I finally convinced my girl to let me take them out about two months ago when I noticed that the Discus were getting very stressed out by the angels and their pairing behavior. It did take me a long time to convince my girl to let me remove the Angels, about a month after I took out the Angels the Discus did not improve and they seemed to remain huddled in one corner of the tank all the time and they would not eat their food. At that time I was feeding frozen bloodworms and Flakes. I am know feeding CBW exclusively and they are now eating good and not hiding any more. They come out to me and beg for food. The thing is that most of them still look like they are wasting away and they are getting that razor-back look.
filtration: AC 500
10gl home made trickle wet dry with bio-balls
temp: 86
ammonia:0
Nitrite: 0
PH: 7.6
Water changes: Once or twice a week. Hard to do more, it is not in my house.
Should I move them to a quarantine tank an medicate and what treatment would you suggest??
I do have four corys in there with them.
Thank you in advance, :( :-\ :-[ ???
