Maroxy Use After Spawn

I've seen references about using Maroxy after spawning to prevent fungus on eggs. If you have been successful using Maroxy, did you dose as prescribed on bottle, 1/2 tsp/10g? How long after spawn for fist dose? How many doses?

Hi Larry I use it all the time works great for me. I watch my pairs spawn most times. After the male is done fertilizing I wait an hour and dose at the suggested amout on bottle. Then I use it again 3 or 4 days latter. At 1 week feeswimming I add Formulin at 2 drops per gal of water. Then at 2 weeks freeswimming I do another dose of Maroxy. At 3 weeks freeswimming I do the Formulin again. :) Jim & Diane

I use it also per the dosage on the bottle....i wait for about a half hour after they've finished spawning, and treat the tank...
i dose again for two more days around the same time...(for a total of three doses 24 hours apart)

i just do the one dose...after they spawn. i was worried about overdoing things. works good for me.

Maroxy at full dose 1 to 2 hours after spawning.
Formalin is at Foster and Smith in larger sizes than at petsolutions.
Formalin is the best and quickest remedy for protecting fry from Fluke Attac. It frys em fast, though the eggs will bring them back. Still nothing like plenty of clean, clean, clean water and wipe downs. Frank

is it the one that called formalin 3 which contains only 3% of formaldehyde? ? or the 37%?

I believe it's the 37%...i haven't had occasion to use it yet(knock on wood)

You want the 37% kind. I use it to stop fry death due to flukes. I just think for myself that stoping it before it happens is better then reacting to it after it happens!! But thats JMO. :)
