I have been in discus hobby for 2 years for and have been feeding then all sorts of food ranging from pellets, beef heart, flake, frozen mosquito larva.
Recently I tried feeding them chicken heart they really enjoy it but it fouls water easily but it really improves their color specially red color.
I think it's worth a try also it becomes easy to administer medicines in chicken heart as it mixes easily.
You have grind it in the blender to get paste and then you can freeze it and use it when ever you want.

Hi blackghost
I used chicken heart for a while and I dislike it on 3 acounts.
1)it turns into a PASTE and fouls the water.
2) A bit harder to clean and hence more fat in it.
3) has softer texture and it is harder for fish to get a bite B 4 it dissolves into the water.
A aggressive bonder like LIGOBOND TM. makes it a bit better. :hat:
I lost My #1 blur diamond red eye dominant male due to water fouling due to chicken heart

I stoped using it I think you would be safer without it.

Turkey heart is almost as good as beef but Proff Leshem tetsed it and it has less Iron than beef so if u use it supplement iron
