bloated discus

hi all
l have a problem and wonder if anyone can help plz?
well for the last 2 week i noticed that all my discus are bloated in the tummy after i feed them...but few hours later after each feed they get back to normal.
why is this?

It sounds to me like you are feeding too much at once. What do you feed, and how often?

hi bud....yeah i think i am feeding too much :)
i feed them blood warms and tetra pellets....i feed them fe times a day but give em a feed that takes them about 20 mins to finish

In my experience, the bits are the culprit. Do you soak them first? I found that when I do they don't eat as many either. When they were younger they would eat up the mixed in flake and freeze dried stuff first allowing the bits to sink and swell before consumption. Now that they are older they tend to like the bits more, therefore eating them before they hit the bottom. Funny how their taste buds mature like ours. lol :-\
