using peat to softed water hardness

Hi!

Current my water paramters are:

TDS = 150ppm
ph=7

I do 33% WC daily

I want to lower my water GH to below 5 (TDS below 90ppm). I have seen some products from Hagen (FLUVAL PEAT FIBRE/GRANULES) and Marc Weiss (Keta-Peat Nuggets). Can I have some pros and coms about the products or you can suggest others.

I use peat in my filter and I managed to get KH and GH at 0.00. Peat also will liberate some important humic acids and reduce conductivity. My pH is 6,2.
