Can anyone give me an idea of what the Oceanic 37 gal tanks go for. I'm going to need two of these to fit a particular place in my newly decorated living room. (Aren't I lucky?...I actually need to buy tanks to complete the decorating) Anyway, I have some discus I want to part with and hope to work out a deal with my LFS guy. It'd help if I had an idea of his cost and what they usually sell for.

Thanks, Liz

That is definately the thought patterns of a fish person.

I can't answer how much, but I would also consider All-Glass they are both made by the same company and Oceanic is alot more money because of thier five year warrenty, All -Glass has a one year warrenty.

My other aquariums are All Glass, but I don't believe they make the 37 and I need it because of it's dimensions. Besides, they'll make nice breeding tanks for when those as yet unborne ones that I'm getting from you grow up. I know that you don't like to squeeze your pairs into a 29!

Looking at the All-Glass catalog they make a 37 gallon 30 1/4 long 12 1/2 wide and 22 3/4 high ( same as a 29 but higher )
Oceanic 37 is 24 1/2 long 18 1/2 wide and 21 1/2 high
Are you after the 24 inch lenght

You'll have to call around and see who can get them for you and their prices. Shipping is the expensive part.

Yes, it's the 24 inch width that I need. I'd like a 24X24 if I could find one but the 24X18 was the closest thing i could find. I guess when I was checking out the on line catalogs, I just ignored the fact that 37 gallon tanks come in other dimensions. lol

Two 35 hex would look great All=Glass 23 1/4 X 20 1/4 X 24 3/4
You could probably get the All-Glass hex for less than the Oceanic

Ha! Dennis to the rescue! The hex is the way to go. So much more chic in my fishy livingroom. Thanks!

Liz,
Good Choice on the 35! I have one in my living room right now. Fully planted w/ 4 discus (2 adults, 2 sub's), 4 Paleatus (sp?) Cories and 2 royal dwarf plecos in it. Lovely tank that really accents the room. Let me know if you have any decor/filtration questions.

I paid $99 for my Oceanic 37 combo (tank, light, glass top).
