Fishless cycling

I'm starting a fishless cycle container full of sponges with the intent of keeping it stocked with bug free filtration whenever the need arises. The only "Clear Ammonia" I have found lists "surfactants" in the ingredients. It does not foam when shaken though it does produce a few bubbles for a few seconds. Opinions on the use of this clear ammonia for fishless cycling?

I wouldn't use that kind of ammonia. Surfactants are also found in soap aren't they? It should be "pure ammonia"... Have you tried Walmart or a grocery store? Usually the dirt-cheap stuff is pure...
