I have a pair of discus and just had a pretty large batch of fry hatch 7 days ago. My female discus is a dead beat mom so dad is having to feed them all himself. Today I noticed he seemed kind of sluggish and is facing nose down a little in the tank. He also is usually aggressive toward me when I clean the tank or get up close to the fry but he doesn't seem to be as protective. The fry are still feeding off of him heavily. What are some signs he is getting worn out? What should I do if I decide in a few days he is starting to stress out even more? I am starting baby brine shrimp tomorrow and hope it will take some pressure off of him but I'm curious what warning signs I should be looking for that he has had too much.
