most of my pairs seem to get very aggresive against their tanks mates. two pairs imparticular, one is the 6month old turks i have!
they seem to pick a territory and chase anyone off that enters it, even when they're not laying eggs!
i'm not quite ready for them to breed yet, so i've been keeping temps 84-86 and using straight tap around 130-140ppm. so they haven't really been laying eggs but they still defend their area harshly.
problem is that they take 1/3 to 1/2 of the tank for their area! :o
so should i seperate aggresive pairs like this to keep my other fish from getting stressed or leave them be until i see wrigglers?
thanks,
mike
