well I'v had my three discus for about 2 months and they were about 2in.and one has just out grown the others and is now about 25 to 35% larger than the other two and the middle child is bigger than the other and all three where hatched the same day.Is there any reason for this and does this mean that the biggest one will be the male?Thank you for any help

This is what typically happens with three discus. the biggest may well end up male.

many times, especially with small numbers of discus, you will get one alpha fish and one omega fish...then a bunch in the middle. even with many fish, a lot of times there will be one dominent. try feeding foods all over the tank, he can't be everywhere at once :)
