Hi: I'm in the process of putting together central air supply for my fishroom. I'm using the Sweetwater SL22 from Aquaclave. It connects to 3/4" PVC manifold that supplies air to 20 valves. I'm thinking of installing an air pressure gauge to monitor back pressure. Does anyone have any advice about how much excess air to bleed off? I'm concerned that I may damage the pump if there is too much back pressure.

Thanks in advance
Walton

If the backpressure is too high, i.e. not enough bleed, the air will get warm upon compression. I belive that with the smaller pump, SL22. probably does not heat up as much as a SL88.
Bleeding also reduces any noise,
Aquatic Ecosystems, I think is the manufacturer, just call technical support at (407-886-3939) they have a top
notch support staff and these guys are real pros they deal with profesional farmers and the like so they have to be
on top of things. Good luck: Alex
