Hi,

My pair of blue diamonds have been home for a week now, and today have been cleaning the slate all day. Quite vigourously (afraid the slate was going to topple).

Since then there has been alot of shimmying, and cleaning, and bowing, and racing up and down the tank.

Breeding tubes are half way out,

What do I do now???

Sit and watch...they should lay within the next few days.

All you can do is sit back and enjoy the show.

More than likely it will come to naught so it will give both you and the fish a chance to get some practice in.

Things like getting the temp right about 82-83 is good
Getting the TDS down say abou 50-80
Getting the tank cleaned up before lay eggs (My timing is always off)

Peace,
Roger

Thanks, cleaning seems to be on a pause at the moment. TBH I wasn't really expecting much, but u never know.

I recently got a breeding cone because I suspected that I might have had a pair. I was quite alarmed when I saw the suspected couple picking at the cone! From what I have gathered, is this normal behavior and as such does it confirm I have a piar. If so, should I seperate them from the other discus as I currently have 4 of them in a 29 gallon (was planning on upgrading but may have a problem convincing the wife). LOL. Cheers.
