View Full Version : Tank size
Just got a new tank size is 18.5" from the wall out width is 60" high is 26" can anyone let me know how many gallons this tank is
Thanks
DIZ
Sly posted some conversion equations a while back and one of them was for tank volume in gallons:
Length x Width x Height (inches) x 0.0043 = Volume (Gallons)
With your measurements, I'd say you probably have a 125 gallon tank.

. . . and as Dennis just reminded us . . . . those outside tank measurements don't equal actual gallons inside the tank. Measure inside the tank length x water height x width divided by 231 to get actual gallons. On big tanks you will be surprised at the difference.
Hi Guys,
Why are there 2 diff. formulas ?
Thanks Ronald

One is a decimal one is a fraction. I learned LxWxH divided by 231 both ways work ;D
