I am going to start it out with most of my single adults to see who pairs up. Might have way too many if things work out.

Paul ....now that is a big tank!!! Not sure that size would go over in my 5th floor apartment. lol.
Very nice. cant wait to see the fish in it.
theres only one problem. If they swim back and forth too much.its gonna be like doing laps in the olympic size pool....and they may need more food to keep their weight up. their gonna be muscular. lol. Swimming is one of the best exercises right?

Paul,
In my 200 gallon Oceanic with 25 adult discus, I've got the dual 500 Watt (1,000 total watts) titanium heaters hard-wired to the temperature controller from Jehmco, and just love it ;D (other than the crappy suction cups, which I replaced). Very exact temperature control, and everything is "industrial strength!" Plus it can go up to 104 degrees (not that I'd ever need that, but can get up into the mid 90's easily, if I need to), which would have been impossible with my four previous Ebo Jaeger 250 watters, that never worked together, and couldn't get over 90 degrees for treatments. Nice tank. Is it glass or acrylic?
Enjoy,
Lance Krueger

It's acrylic.I traded it for some babies at my LFS. It was thrased so I striped the back and bottom and repainted them and now it looks great (I think)
I hope I get that heater today so I can get the fish in ;D

I'd hate to be a jinx, so I'm knocking on wood as I type this (not an easy thing to do when you two-hand type) but..... I hope you have lots of buckets in the unlikely (knocking even harder now) event of a leak! Maybe you should get yourself one of those pumps they use on firetrucks, just in case ;)

Seriously, a very nice-looking tank! Any fish should be so lucky to live in one of those!

Hey Paul...Is that one of those light weight insulating blankets wrapped around your plastic drum? One like you would use to go camping?

Does it work holding heat in?

just wondering...Jen K. (cold in MN again)

So, how do you agitate the water in your storage barrels? Or are you one of the lucky ones with soft water?

Well today was a workout,I moved 6 tanks of fish around and here is that 240 with the fish in it.
They all look a lil' lost in there, but tolerated the move well.

Carol, I wish I had good water here, but it's about as bad as it gets, I use a big airstone in them and that works great ;D

Hi

Nice tank. It looks so large. What do you put to support such a big tank of almost 900 liters of water. Wow, I wish I could have a tank like yours but I live in fourth floor and have earthquakes constantly. :D

I used concrete blocks and 2x12's for the stand. worked out great and very economical ;D
