Too many and not enough!...

>>.. do they have to hold water to count? One of my 75 g's just sprung a leak today along the base and is down to a 55G >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(....The fish don't seem to mind the extra aeration though....yet ::)

I just bought another one last night. 110 gallon for 140.00 and a 74 bow front full set up for 150.00.

However, I think this is it. If I do anything else I am going to build a wooden tank/rack system.

Do you guys have time to sit down and enjoy your fish? with so many tanks and water changes. It takes the fun out of your hobby. Labour of Love. Nothing but a slave ;D ;D ;D. I only have 18. no, 20. another 20 in my friend's place, now I have 4 other people keeping my fish for me. No, there are 5. No, They don't count. Let see I have 10 breeding tanks empty. Only 5 with fish. Spending 30 mins a day for water change and feeding.
Well, I'm using 5 tanks only. Mainly for the wilds. Taught 5 people how to keep and breed my fish. They do all the feedings and water changes and I have the first pick from every tank. They can sell the rest. I think I have a better deal.
Jimmy.

1 65 (and room along that wall for 2 more)

04-03-2003, 09:43 AM
262 tanks? You need an army to do W/C. The troop gonna be busy when they come back. It won't be long by the look of it.

I have somewhere around 550-600. Have not counted. Many are filled with other cichlids, wild livebearers, ect on a central system, not much maintenance nessasary on these.
Devoted to discus:
1 -75 gallon, 69- 50 gallon breeders, 30- 18 talls and 45- tens (most of the tens are empty right now).
44 of the 50 gallons are for imports and are on a automatic water changing system, the rest are for my personnal fish on another central system and I try and do 50% water change by hand every other day, and I have a full time job also. I don't sleep much. :) In all, around 11,000 gallons of fish & water. Ken

I have thirty-eight tanks. But they're not all big ones. Size only matters where it counts, you know. ;D

Sixteen tanks, and I need a few more.

1-200 gal.
1-150 gal.
1-135 gal.
1-125 gal.
1-56 gal. Xtra Tall (36"x13"x28")
4-55 gal.
2-30 gal.
1-20 gal.
2-10 gal
2-5 1/2's

I need to add a couple of 25 gallon tanks, and a couple of 29's, then I'll be tapped out for space in the current house situation with no basement. :-[

We have right around 100 tanks. Half of them are 75's. 10-20 of them for QT depending on the number of new arrivals.

That's it no more for this guy. Its a full time job just keeping them clean. Water changes are easy and don't take up much time at all. Scrubbing the tanks and siphoning off the bottoms is what takes up my time. When we get busy I pay local teenagers a few bucks to come by and clean them.

550-600 Ken your the king... How long and how often does it take for you to scrub all that glass?

Hi Liz,

I got three brillant blues from Joe. They are an incredible aqua blue with red striations and red eyes. They're high bodied and round. I'm sorry i don't have a digital camera, no scanner and our computer is so old, it probably won't post any photos anyway!! But you can imagine, since Joe hand-picked them, they are NICE!!

I also got three ??? from Julz. It might be a blue turq crossed with a wild brown. I'm not sure.

See post from Aquarius, he (and Willie) got some fry from Julz too:

http://www.aquaforums.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=8&t=2389&s=16b122a8b28f4a195b68 cdc9d764f574

Julz parent fish were gorgeous. She has a wonderful set-up for raising fry and adults, plus all the lovely orchids. We had a great time!! :-*
